Third and fourth days of paddling

The third day of paddling started in Naruto, after spending two nights in a very pleasant and inexpensive hotel. About half of the day was hampered by a strong headwind, but this decreased and the incoming tide pushed me up the Karuto Strait into the Seto Sea, where I ran the tidal rapid:

The storm hit, and I barely had time to set up camp. However I stayed dry, just above high tide on home-made rock platform. Waves high and launch tricky next morning.

La tempête a frappé, et j’ai à peine eu le temps d’installer le camp. Cependant, je suis resté au sec, juste au-dessus de la marée haute sur une plate-forme rocheuse faite maison. Vagues hautes et lancement difficile le lendemain matin.

Air temperature was 13°. Was glad to have Becky’s down parka. Slept 11 hours. Dined on dried fish and peanuts. Next night glamping in a mobile home, after 20 km. Heading North West toward Shodoshima today.

La température de l’air était de 13°. J’étais content d’avoir la parka en duvet de Becky. J’ai dormi 11 heures. Dîné : du poisson séché et des cacahuètes. La nuit suivante, glamping dans un mobil-home, après 20 km. Direction nord-ouest vers Shodoshima aujourd’hui.
